Description

Alloy 6061 is one of the most extensively used of the 6000 series aluminium alloys. Alloy 6061 has high corrosion resistance, moderate tensile strength, good formability, good surface finish and good weldability.

Machining

Alloy 6061 offers excellent machineability when machined using single-point or multi-spindle carbide tools on screw machines.

Applications

Aviation, LCD/semi-conductor, automation assembly, jigs & fixtures, precision engineering, construction industry, mechanical engineering
